Brave Path Strategies was built to fill the gap the field has not filled — practitioner-led, leadership-focused support for coordinated response to gender-based violence and human trafficking.
I am a social worker, strategist, and consultant with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of gender-based violence prevention, human trafficking response, and survivor-centered systems change. As Director of GBV Strategy & Policy for the City of Chicago, I chaired the Mayor's GBV Strategic Plan Task Force where I convened community-based organizations, city officials, and survivor leaders to design and implement a first-of-its-kind comprehensive municipal response to gender-based violence and human trafficking. Practitioner-led
Every recommendation grounded in what I have seen work and what I have seen fail, within government, coalitions, and non-profit contexts.
Survivor-centered
Survivor leadership is not a checkbox. It is the backbone of eradicating violence and building equity across communities and systems of care.
Capacity-building
The goal is to leave you stronger than I found you, with better structures and more confident leaders.
Equity Focused
I will use data and critical analysis to identify inequities within power structures, policies, and practices and help to build a stronger foundation.
